About the Lab

Built by athletes, for athletes.

The Strength Lab floor in Newtown, CT: the black and green logo mural above a blue power rack, a loaded deadlift bar, calibrated plates, strongman logs on the platform and the green Legend Fitness machines along the wall

The Strength Lab wasn’t born out of a desire to start a fitness trend. It was built by Rachel and Kurt out of sheer necessity. Newtown, Connecticut needed a facility that catered exclusively to the serious strength athlete.

The founders

As dedicated strength athletes, Rachel and Kurt know exactly what it takes to perform on the platform. They designed the Lab to remove the friction of a large commercial gym. No waiting for racks. No subpar steel. Professional-grade Rogue Fitness and EliteFTS equipment, because the arsenal should match the intent of the athletes using it.

The mission

Provide the absolute best equipment in a low-traffic, highly focused environment. By capping the roster, Rachel and Kurt keep the Lab a professional laboratory for powerlifting, strongman, and elite conditioning.

Why the Lab

Everything a serious lifter needs. Nothing they don’t.

A modern, premium training facility with an old-school private club environment, built for serious strength enthusiasts, competitive athletes, and anyone ready to put in real work without the commercial-gym distractions.
